A 1936 Swedish film, Intermezzo stars Ingrid Bergman in the first film in which she played the lead. Bergman plays a piano teacher who falls for a married violinist (Leslie Howard). Three years after its release in Sweden, a remake of the film appeared in the States. It also starred Bergman. This month, the Cleveland Museum of Art screens both versions of the movie. Today at 1:45 p.m., it screens the 1939 version. Tickets are $10, or $7 for CMA members. (Niesel)
