Icona Pop/K Flay/Sirah/Alex Angelo

“I Love It,” the first single from the Swedish dance act Icona Pop, has a retro techno vibe and features catchy lyrics. The newest single, “All Night,” is another party song and that seems to be the theme for the entire album, This Is… Icona Pop, due out later this month. Band leaders Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo can no doubt can sing and they experiment with all different kinds of techno beats, but the songs tend to sound the same. They do look and sound like they’re just trying to have fun, and in that case they have succeeded. Expect lots of jumping around when the group plays tonight at House of Blues. (Aziza Doleh)
