Hurrah for the Va-jay-jay

The Vagina Monologues is a thought-provoking series of monologues on gender and womanhood by Eve Ensler which is typically staged annually on Valentine’s Day. This benefit production at Ensemble Theater in Cleveland Heights, however, is this weekend. Ensemble will donate a portion of its proceeds to Planned Parenthood of Ohio. In addition to the regular cast, local media celebs Dee Perry (from WCPN) and Connie Shultz (Pulitzer-Prize winning columnist, formerly of the Plain Dealer) will make guest appearances at select shows. Tickets, which are fully tax deductible, are $35 for individuals and $50 for couples. And if you miss tonight’s 8 p.m. show, there is a performance Sunday at 2 p.m. (Allard)
