Happy 250th Birthday, Jane Austen!

We're celebrating Jane Austen, one of the most pivotal figures in shaping the modern novel. The afternoon starts with a screening of the 1999 film Mansfield Park. Next, we'll look at some "current events" for Austen connected with Ohio: The War of 1812! Robert Whitman, Chief of Interpretation at Perry’s Monument, will provide historical context to the time period. Our finale will be a live performance of "Let Me Tell You About My Sister, Jane Austen…an intimate portrait of the author by her older sister, Cassandra."
