Hank & the Cupcakes/Attack Cat/GOLD

Originally from Israel, the Brooklyn duo Hank and the Cupcakes would really have benefited from exposure on MTV if the music channel still played music videos. In the video for “Hit,” the band’s latest single, the duo puts on wacky outfits and prances around in body paint. It’s a visual treat for the terrifically catchy dance-pop tune. An homage to the ’80s, the video for the Eurythmics-like “Sweet Potion” is equally captivating and features a dizzying series of jump cuts. The band has generated some genuine buzz for its can’t-miss live show, which should feature some great visuals, too. (Jeff Niesel)
