Grupo Fantasma/We the People/DJ Andujar

The 11-piece Grupo Fantasma will fill out the stage at Beachland Ballroom quite nicely tonight. Their blend of Latin rhythms and beats with a overtly funky mentality makes for quite the danceable combo. A couple years back, they released El Existential, which makes for terrific party music and a really spot-on primer for tonight’s gig. The music is irresistible, and the Beachland’s ambiance will lend the evening an elegant flair. Multifaceted and far-reaching, Grupo Fantasma’s work touches on an exciting variety of genres and musical traditions. The throwback salsa vibes on “El Consejo,” for instance, showcase a talented band that has every interest invested in having a good time. Count on it: Tonight’s show is sure to be a party.
