Formanek Duo (in Mahall's Apartment)

Veteran jazz musicians Michael and Peter Formanek have been making music and improvising together for more than 20 years. This year, however, marks the first time they’ve brought their duo on the road. Michael Formanek plays the double bass, and multi-instrumentalist Peter Formanek plays saxophone, clarinet and flute. He’s lived in the Detroit area since graduating from the University of Michigan in 2017. The duo will perform music composed by each member, as well as improvised pieces and the occasional standard tune. (Jeff Niesel)
