Fire Festival (Himatsuri)

Directed by Mitsuo Yanagimachi, Fire Festival (Himatsuri) takes place in a remote coastal Japanese fishing village bordered by mountains and forests. The film centers on a lumberjack who believes he has a mystical relationship with the mountain goddess. The movie screens at 6:30 tonight at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
