Exit Stencil Recordings was started by Brandon Stevens back in 2002. Ryan Weitzel joined in 2004 and Paul Murphy came along in 2005, solidifying the trio that would release over 60 records over almost 20 years. While heavily Cleveland-centric, the label released a number of critically acclaimed reissues by Cleveland bands Damnation of Adam Blessing and the Numbers Band as well as new bands from across the country. Tonight ,the Happy Dog hosts a farewell party/wake for the local Exit Stencil label. The night will feature local acts Herzog, the New Lou Reeds, and a number of special guests from the label’s catalog over the years. Label owners will be selling "super cheap" records and distributing giveaways to clear out any back stock.
