Exchanges: Hard to Swallow

Exchanges “Hard to Swallow,” is a short presentation by author, historian and TEDx speaker Brandy Schillace, PhD, who will share the history of diagnostic technology for “seeing” inside the body. The program will discuss the evolution of technology, from the history of anatomy to the advent of devices that allowed doctors to “see” inside the living. From stethoscopes to x-ray to endoscopy, we’ll learn how tools have changed our method of diagnosis and by extension treating disease. We’ll finish the conversation with an expert panel discussion and public forum on endoscopy innovation.
