El Vez Mex-Mas Show/Whiskey Daredevils

Since the early ’90s, El Vez (the stage name of madcap singer Robert Lopez) has recorded irreverent renditions of classic rock and punk tunes; over the course of that time, he’s taken on everyone from Elvis Presley to David Bowie and Iggy Pop. More than just a musician, he’s a performance artist, and he put out a terrific Christmas album a couple of years back that featured tunes such as “Santa Claus is Sometimes Brown,” “Mamacita, Dónde Está Santa Claus?” and, of course, “Feliz Navidad.” Expect to hear those tunes and more at this annual Christmas show, an outlandishly colorful event that puts a special Spanish twist on the holiday.
