Ekphrastic Poetry Slam with One Mic Open | Slam de Poesía Ecfrástica con One Mic Open

Ekphrastic poetry is defined as poems written about works of art, with the ancient Greek term “ekphrasis” meaning the skill of describing a thing in vivid detail. Led by Eric Odum of One Mic Open, this Ekphrastic Poetry Slam will guide you through the process of writing an ekphrastic poem based upon the artwork in Edra Soto’s exhibition, "La Casa de Todos." At the end of the workshop, you can choose to share out at the open mic or take your words home with you. Doors open at 6 pm and readings begin at 6:45 pm.
