Edgar Winter

Multi-instrumentalist Edgar Winter takes an old school approach to making music. The keyboardist, guitarist, saxophonist and percussionist plays a variety of instruments and adroitly dabbles in different genres. "Free Ride," one of his big hits from the '70s features a great blues guitar solo and some funky guitar work. His other big hit, "Frankenstein," comes off as something spacier and more psychedelic. Expect to hear both tunes at tonight's show. (Niesel)
