Ed Kowalczyk: "I Alone" Acoustic Tour

It’s suggestive that this show featuring Live’s Ed Kowalczyk is billed as “I Alone Acoustic.” Without the reference to “I Alone,” an enormous radio hit for Pennsylvania-based Live, we might not know who the hell Ed Kowalczyk is. The bald-headed baritone has actually put out two solo albums since Live disbanded in 2009 (though the guys have since reformed with a new singer). His solo efforts — 2010’s Alive and last year’s The Garden EP — feature the same kind of overly earnest tunes for which Live was known. If the set lists from previous tour dates are any indication, you can expect to hear a mix of Live tunes and solo stuff, all of it delivered with a serious dose of seriousness. (Jeff Niesel)
