A professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University, Dr. Temple Grandin invented the "hug box" to calm those on the autism spectrum. She also consults the livestock industry on animal behavior. She's written numerous books about autism and animal behavior. Time magazine once listed her as one of the most influential people in the world. She comes to the Akron Civic Theatre tonight at 7 to speak at a benefit for the Autism Society of Greater Akron. General admission tickets are $10 but VIP tickets that include special seating and a meet-and-greet with Grandin cost $75. (Niesel)
