After releasing another fine album into the ether of contemporary indie rock, Dr. Dog continues to deliver the goods via well-rounded, self-aware songwriting. B-Room doesn’t completely stand up to the legacy of past Dr. Dog albums (Fate was a high-water mark), but it still exhibits the Dr. Dog vibes that we’ve all come to know and love. They’re nothing if not undeviating. “Distant Light” is a bit of a simple tune, but the good-times rock rhythms carry it into danceable territory. Tonight’s show should be a good one if the band’s studio skills are any indication. Fly Golden Eagle opens the festivities. (Sandy)
