Doomsday in the Dark Ages

Dragons, fire and brimstone! We have our zombie apocalypse fears of today, but have you ever wondered what kind of doomsday tales people in the medieval period dreamt up? In Apocalyptic Visuality in Medieval Illustrated Manuscripts, a free lecture this evening at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Richard Emmerson, a professor of English and Art History at Manhattan College and Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America, will address the topic. The talk starts at 5 p.m. in the Recital Hall. Trenholme)
