Dona Onete

The Cleveland Museum of Art’s annual performing arts series aims to "bring together thoughtful, fascinating, and beautiful experiences, comprising a concert calendar notable for its boundless multiplicity." The 2016-17 season kicks off tonight at 7:30 at the Museum with singer and composer Dona Onete. Straight outta the Amazonian state of Pará, she performs carimbó chamegado, music that blends indigenous rhythm and dance with African and European traditions and a Caribbean sound. Tickets are $30 to $45. (Niesel)
