Dirtyphonics/Le Castle Vania/Etc! Etc!

As further proof that DJs are the new rock stars, check out the “Irreverence Tour” video series that the French electronic dance group Dirtyphonics has just posted on YouTube. You’ll see the guys boozing hard and cavorting with groupies (and putting stamps on their boobs that read “I am dirty”) as they traipse across the U.S. on a tour that found them playing in front of massive crowds at Coachella. The group’s music touches on a bit of everything electronic and doesn’t fall strictly into one category. Songs such as “Dirty” have an dubstep vibe that makes the band well-suited to dance clubs, even if the repetitive lyrics aren’t particularly enlightening. (Jeff Niesel)
