Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders and John Carroll University are hosting, “Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Training,” to instruct professionals, parents and students on how to use creativity to teach DBT skills in therapy. CCED clinical psychologist and JCU professor Denise Ben-Porath, PhD, will present in this workshop creative techniques, such as role play, video and experiential exercises, as a way to teach DBT skills. Participants will learn how to structure a DBT group. “Change-based” skills will be presented in the morning session, while “acceptance-based” skills will be presented in the afternoon. Participants must register. CCED is hosting a breakfast beforehand.
