Daytime Coffee Talk - In the Gallery on the British Mandate

Join us in the gallery with Peter J. Haas, Abba Hillel Silver Professor Emeritus, to discuss the Balfour Declaration. In the early 20th century, the Jews were a population without a strict homeland. Still, the dream of a Jewish homeland persisted, and in November of 1917 the British government made the surprising decision to support that dream. This decision is known as the Balfour Declaration. Coffee will be served. Seating is limited and preregistration is highly recommended.
