There isn’t much in the way of fresh shit to be said about Dave Matthews Band in 2013; you’re either a fan or you’re not at this point. But the man behind the soulful mouth-full-of-marbles voice is still throwing down wonderful music and an amazing live show. The band’s catalog — including last year’s Away From The World (although we heartily endorse 2009’s Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King if you’re lookin’ for DMB’s more modern sound) — is massive and heartfelt. Setlists, as always, revolve around the whole of the band’s discography — drawing on early gems, off-the-beaten-path cuts and recent material. It all blends seamlessly into a night of wonder. Whether you’re hoppin’ on tour or just catching this one-off show, it’s sure to be a good time. And, hey, who’s got my 20-minute jam on “Two Step”? (Eric Sandy)
