The local country act Cory Grinder and the Playboy Scouts plays the Beachland Ballroom tonight as part of Independent Venue Week, a national celebration of all the clubs not affiliated with corporate giants such as Live Nation and AEG Presents. Alt-country singer-songwriter Florence Dore, a former Clevelander who now lives in North Carolina, opens the show. The concert begins at 8, and tickets cost $10.
