Club Bellydance

A few years back, the Bellydance Superstars could fill mid-sized performances around the country. They were that frickin’ popular. While the general interest in bellydancing has since subsided, a few performers from the troupe have branched out on their own. Those dancers — Sabah, Moria, Sabrina, Rebecca, Nathalie and Victoria — bring their new revue, dubbed Club Bellydance, to the Beachland Ballroom tonight at 8 for a show that promises a certain, er, intimacy that you don’t get in the theater. Local dancers will start off the first half of the show and the vets will take over for the second half. (Jeff Niesel)
