* civic * now * !* — a think-in — a collaborative workshop on civic forms with Lester Spence & others. / Objective: to construct manifestos of civic identity for our time.

This two day think-in calls together a number of well known poets and cultural critics to take on the challenges to being political in our time and place. July 19 (7-10pm) at Jukebox: tune-up with Guide to Kulchur and Young Kings July 20 (10am-4pm) at SPACES Gallery with Punctum Books: “around the people around the table” discussion of political challenges with invited guests, followed by a collaborative workshop for all present to develop “one-minute manifestos” to be published by Punctum Books and GTK Press: One Minute-Manifestos: The RNC Edition. Lunch provided. July 20 (6pm-) at Jukebox: afterparty open to all.
