Chronicle of Anna Magdalena Bach
Renowned Dutch keyboard player Gustav Leonhardt portrays Johann Sebastian Bach in Chronicle of Anna Magdalena Bach, a 1968 film that looks at the final 27 years of the composer's life through the eyes of his wife. Hardly a traditional biopic/costume drama, the movie represents a departure from genre as all the music in it was performed and recorded live. It screens today at 1:45 p.m. at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets cost $10, or $7 for CMA members. (Niesel)
