Chinese Thread Book

The Chinese Thread Book is an obscure folk art that originated in rural China and may still be found in some remote areas. The thread book was used like a sewing kit to store thread, needles, fabric and patterns. We will learn how to make a thread book using traditional paper folding techniques and styles of decoration. At the end of the workshop, each student will have completed a traditional thread book with up to 15 compartments.
