Singer Matt Schultz's bout with mental illness inspired the songs on Neon Pill, the latest effort from the bluesy indie rock act out of Kentucky. Songs such as the brittle "Hifi (True Light)" and the woozy title track demonstrate a musical evolution as the vocals and lyrics are more nuanced than they are on previous tunes. The group brings the tour in support of the album to Blossom. Young the Giant and Bakar open the show. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
