Breaking the Gender Barrier: Justine Siegal’s Story

Her dream was to play for the Cleveland Indians, but at 13 Justine Seigal’s coach told her to quit the game she loved to play softball because she was a girl. Instead, she made baseball history by pitching batting practice for the Cleveland Indians and becoming the first woman to coach men's professional baseball. To ensure girls opportunities to follow their own baseball dreams, Dr. Siegal founded the national nonprofit Baseball For All. Hear her inspiring story; featured in O, The Oprah Magazine and Sports Illustrated, and on national programs like The Queen Latifah Show and NPR's All Things Considered.
