Black Label Society's Zakk Wylde has won the Guitar World Magazine MVP award for four years straight. Take that, Yngwie Malsteeem. Wylde has also won a number of other awards, such as "Best Rock Guitarist" from Guitar Player, "Metal Guru" from the recently held Classic Rock awards in the UK, "Golden God” by Metal Hammer and the “Best Guitarist” Award from Revolver Magazine. Yep, his trophy case is full. He shows his softer side on the band's latest album, Catacombs of the Black Vatican. Even if it's tempered by the gentle approach, the power ballad "Angel of Mercy" still features a terrific guitar solo. You'll wanna get up close to watch Wylde shred at tonight's show. (Niesel)
