Big Money

Thanks to super-rich collectors who have driven up the price of artwork, famous paintings by artists such as Jackson Pollock and Jean-Michel Basquat now sell for millions. In his documentary, The Next Big Thing, director Frank van den Engel looks at how the Internet and globalization have contributed to the inflation, making it difficult for museums and dealers to keep their status as taste makers. The film screens tonight at 7 at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
