Beethoven at Blossom

The Cleveland Orchestra's Blossom Music Festival is in full swing now, and tonight at 7 the Orchestra will present a program that includes works by Beethoven and Liszt. As a special bonus, the Kent/Blossom Chamber Orchestra will join the festivities and open the concert by playing selections by Wagner and Ravel. When the Cleveland Orchestra hits the stage, pianist Stephen Hough will be on hand to handle the solo in Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1. For the finale, both orchestras will give a “side-by-side” performance of Sibelius' Symphony No. 2. Tickets start at $23. (Niesel)
