Executive director Liz Maugans and the fine folks at Zygote Press are giving Clevelanders a dual opportunity to fill the empty space on their wall while supporting a pillar of the local printmaking community. As the name would imply, tonight’s 100 x 100 shindig offers attendees a square deal: the chance to go home with one of 100 8” by 8” works of art, each priced at $100. Among the represented artists: Hilary Aurand, Dana Depew, Don Harvey, and Cathie Bleck. And among the additional reasons to attend: beer, wine, and heavy apps from Linden Tavern and Tastebuds. You can also boogie down to the bluegrass-y sounds of Pompous Grass, and watch a demo of old-school printmaking techniques. Plus, anyone who carts off a piece of artwork also gets a voucher for $25 off the price of a membership or classes. It’s all happening tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $30 at the door or on the website.
