Art Show: Table, People, Thing

The playful, rubbery style with which CIA graduate Harris Johnson renders his still lifes and portraits contrasts their frank content, with its suggestions of violence and other lettings of bodily fluids. Their outrageousness is meant to jolt the viewer — and the art world at large — from comfort zones and assumptions. An opening reception will be held Thursday, April 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. The exhibition will run through May 15.
