Anger is a Gift

Cleveland native Alix Kates Shulman (Memoirs of an Ex–Prom Queen) will answer questions today after a screening of She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry, a new documentary that traces the early history of the modern women’s movement (1966–71). The film starts with the founding of the National Organization of Women by "ladies in hats and gloves" and concludes with the emergence of radical feminism. The film includes footage of marches and speeches and includes interviews with a variety of prominent feminists. The screening takes place at 1:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9.
