America's Got Talent Live

America’s got talent but you wouldn’t necessarily know it from watching America’s Got Talent, the schlocky Simon Cowell-produced TV show that gives aspiring performers the chance to become the next big thing and maybe even land a gig in Las Vegas. Hosted by Jerry Springer, America’s Got Talent Live rolls into the Akron Civic Theatre tonight at 8 with a slew of stars — if you can call them that — from the recently completed Season 7. Last season’s winners, the Olate Dogs, are a group of furry creatures that have been trained to stand on their hand legs and perform a variety of jumps and tricks. They’ll be on hand as will other Season 7 acts such as magician Spencer Horsman, mind reader Eric Dittelman and comedian and impressionist Dave Burleigh. (Jeff Niesel)
