Home to the highest bio-diversity of agave varietals in the world, Mexico is famous for its Tequila and Mezcal spirits derived from the heart of the agave. The documentary film Agave takes viewers beyond the bottle to discover how one plant can carry the weight of a culture and the people trying to protect it. It tells the story of alcohol production in Mexico. The movie shows tonight at 7 at the Silverspot Cinemas. A tequila/mezcal tasting follows the screening. Tickets are $25. (Niesel)
