Activism: Then & Now

In conjunction with This Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of the Civil Rights Movement, its current exhibit, the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage hosts this special lecture. Rhonda Y. Williams, PhD, Founder and Director of the Social Justice Institute at Case Western Reserve University, leads a panel that includes civil rights attorney James L. Hardiman, local activist Rachelle Smith, The Fixers producer Kate Sopko and textual activist/entrepreneur RA Washington. They'll discuss the effectiveness and reach of modern-day activism while imagining new ways forward, topics that seem particularly timely given the current political climate. Tickets are $12, $6 for Maltz Museum members. (Jeff Niesel)
