1928 Ford Tri-Motor Living History Fall Airplane Rides
When: Sat., Oct. 12, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. 2024
Take flight in Liberty Aviation Museum's historic 1928 Ford Tri-Motor aircraft on Sat Oct 12th at the Liberty Aviation Museum! The Ford Tri-Motor was the first luxury airliner of its time. The "City of Wichita" Ford Tri-Motor participated in the first ever air/rail transcontinental flight in July of 1929 with Transcontinental Air Transport which later became TWA. This is the last surviving aircraft from that original historic flight. Amelia Earhart & Charles Lindbergh also participated in that historic flight with our plane; in addition to being stockholders in the airline TAT. This plane marked the beginning of commercial flight.
