Whether or not you accept the family's claim that brothers Frank and Charlie Menches invented the hamburger, you have to admit that their descendants make a good'un, filled with dark, intriguing flavor notes from such exotic ingredients as coffee and brown sugar. We hear there are other things on the big, all-day menu too, like meatloaf, cabbage rolls, and pizza. But with a burger in one hand and an icy draft in the other, we never seem to get around to them.
