Jeannette Sorrell and Apollo’s Fire have performed Handel’s Messiah for more than 17 years now. Soprano Meredith Hall and Apollo’s Fire favorites Amanda Powell (mezzo soprano), Ross Hauck (tenor) and Jeffrey Strauss (baritone) join the Apollo’s Singers, a 16-voice professional chamber chorus, for tonight’s performance. The concert takes place at 7:30 at Trinity Cathedral. The orchestra performs again tomorrow and Saturday at 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Shaker Heights, and at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 15 at Fairlawn Lutheran Church. A pre-concert talk led by an AF musician takes place one hour prior to each concert. Tickets range from $25 to $70. (Niesel)
