Two Art Openings

For their latest exhibitions, the galleries at BAYarts showcase the work of the organization’s students. The Sullivan Family Gallery hosts The Potter’s Kitchen: BAYarts Annual Advanced Ceramics Student Show. Curated by Moira Beale, the exhibition includes a collection of ceramic work created by BAYarts advanced pottery students. Each piece explores the relationship between food and clay. Simultaneously, the Diane Boldman Education Gallery hosts BAYarts Art Club. This special exhibition is curated by Randy Crider, Susan Mangan, Alison Polgar, Jessica Ramage and Rebekah Wilhelm. For 30 weeks, a group of children ages 10 to 14 participated in a specific area of study, including cartooning, ceramics, creative writing, drawing, painting and printmaking. Both shows open today from 7 to 9 p.m., and remain on view through May 25. Free. (Usmani)
