Tri-C JazzFest: Jane Bunnett & Maqueque/Alicia Olatuja

Jane Bunnett is known for her creative integrity, improvisational daring and courageous artistry. Her exploration of Afro-Cuban melodies has been groundbreaking. She has toured the world bringing her own special sound to numerous jazz festivals, displaying her versatility as a saxophonist, flautist and pianist. Alicia Olatuja came into the national spotlight in 2013 as the featured soloist with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir at former President Barack Obama’s second inauguration. Shortly thereafter, she assembled her own jazz ensemble and recorded her first solo album, "Timeless" (2014).
