Thrills, Not Chills

Have you ever wanted to take your little one to a friendly, non-scary event for Halloween? Well here’s your chance. Goblins in the Garden is a family-friendly celebration that includes face painting, wagon rides, a cornstalk maze, family crafts and more. Hal Walker Group, a wholesome band, performs today too. You can catch Hal improvising with unique musical instruments like the khaen, the banakula, ancient hand whistle and much more. The Holden Arboretum will have food concessions from Culinaire Pavane plus popcorn, beverages, baked goods and free apples (while supplies last). The event runs from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. tomorrow. Cost is $15 per car. (Aziza Doleh)
