Thomas the Tank Engine Comes to Town

It’s all fun and games on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad this weekend — at least until naptime. But till then, the wee ones and their train-lovin’ support staff are welcome to make a day of it at the Boston Mills Ski Resort boarding station in Peninsula (7100 Riverview Rd.) That’s where they’ll find the iconic storybook engine, along with Thomas-themed crafts, activities, live music, and assorted merch. Also on hand: Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway, and — most important — a chance for a 25-minute choo-choo ride on cars pulled by the little blue engine. Thomas and his crew are in town for five days of fun: May 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27. Hours are 9 to 5 daily.
