The Race

10th anniversary of The Race. 8 a.m. registration, 9 a.m. walk/run. The Race empowers children and their families to make a difference in the lives of those touched by breast cancer by raising awareness and money for breast cancer research. Proceeds benefit University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. Participants receive t-shirts, enjoy entertainment, refreshments, prizes and children’s activities. The event has been held each Mother’s Day for the past nine years, attracting approximately 1500 people last year. To date, The Race, with help from friends, business associates, and corporate sponsors, has raised approximately $750,000 for the fight against breast cancer.
