Join us for a panel discussion, musical performance and meet-and-greet with Greg Dawson, author of Hiding in the Spotlight, a Musical Prodigy’s Story of Survival, 1941-1946. In this remarkable recreation of the WWII years, Dawson writes about his mother, pianist Zhanna Arshanskaya Dawson—who as a child prodigy in the 1930s performed using a false, non-Jewish identity for unsuspecting Nazis. Dawson and his mother Zhanna join in a moderated discussion with panelists Dr. David Redles, Dr. Sean Martin, Kira Seatonn and Bruno Tatalovic. Music by pianist Emanuela Friscioni is also part of the evening.
