The Post Man

All this “Bridgegate” stuff in New Jersey should make you recall the original “gate” — Watergate — the scandal which broke in the early ’70s when pawns from Nixon’s campaign broke into the Democratic National Committee HQs at the Watergate complex in D.C. Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein reported on Watergate for the Washington Post, and earned the paper a Pulitzer Prize in 1973. Woodward, now an associate editor at the Post, will speak at the Ohio Theatre at Playhouse Square this evening at 6 p.m. as part of the Town Hall Speaker Series. Tickets are $45. (Scene was alarmed to discover that Bob Woodward and Robert Redford are not one and the same). (Allard)
