The Pearl Button

The Pearl Button, the new documentary from Chilean filmmaker Patricio Guzman, focuses on extermination of the indigenous tribes of Patagonia and the various victims of torture who "disappeared" during Pinochet's reign. The L.A. Times rightly called the movie "lyrical, impressionistic and profound." It makes its Cleveland premiere tonight at 9:05 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque and screens again at 7:30 tomorrow night. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
