The Mountaintop

The assassination of civic leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., which took place in a motel room on April 3, 1968, shocked the world. When an "extraordinary maid" enters the scene, she challenges Dr. King. That's the premise of the Cleveland Play House's latest production, The Mountaintop, which "delivers a portrait of the man behind the myth that is as provocative as it is beautiful." It opens tonight at 7:30 at the Outcault Theatre. Tickets are $20 to $90. (Niesel)
